Igo is an Associate Professor in Ceramics and Design at Tarrant County College in Fort Worth, Texas.\u00a0 She received her B.S. in Biology (Evolution, Ecology, and Environmental) at University of Texas, Austin in 2001, and her M.F.A. in Ceramics at\u00a0the University of North Texas in 2006.\u00a0 Igo is a practicing visual artist that works in mixed media to explore the relationship between science and aesthetic and nostalgia and fantasy. \u00a0\u00a0Having cultivated a unified aesthetic, she and artist <a title=\"Trish Igo and Jill O'Brien\" href=\"http:\/\/trishandjill.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jill O\u2019Brien<\/a> have worked collaboratively since 2001 to nurture an Imaginarium of taxidermy, photography, sculpture, and found objects that represent a shared ideal past and future.\u00a0 \u00a0Igo\u2019s sculpture and photography is exhibited nationally and her collaborative work with O&#8217;Brien was the subject of an internationally shown, award-winning documentary short, <i>Still, Life<\/i>, in 2005.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #919191;\">__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1133\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1133\" style=\"width: 191px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-1133 size-medium\" title=\"Trish Igo and Jill O'Brien, Dove I, 2010.\" src=\"http:\/\/trishigo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/100creaturecomfort_storytime1-191x260.jpg\" alt=\"Trish Igo and Jill O'Brien, &lt;i&gt;Story Time&lt;\/i&gt;, 2012\" width=\"191\" height=\"260\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1133\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Trish Igo and Jill O&#8217;Brien, <br \/> <i>Story Time<\/i>, 2012<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>Animal philosophies are rife with contradictions brought about by our\u00a0<\/em><em>childhood idolatry of animals and our societal use and slaughter of\u00a0<\/em><em>them. \u00a0Commixing these extremes, Trish Igo and Jill O&#8217;Brien create\u00a0<\/em><em>a dreamlike expos\u00e9 of our haunted faunal relationships.
