‘Abject’ was a collaborative sculpture that Jill O’Brien and I made in the summer of 2015. It was a ton of work, a great learning experience, and really represents our sensibilities of horror and surrealism with respect to animals. We wish we could make a whole body of work with these forms but this one is currently literally occupying a third of my studio space at home. Large scale is awesome but storing it is not.
